  • The “Savings and Loan Cooperative San Martín de Porres Ltda” started on 14 March 1963, like the Rvdo. Padre José Santos Iztueta´s idea, regarding the Catholic Church request. Its social denomination is: Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito San Martín de Porres Ltda. So its responsibility is restricted only to its net capital. Their form is established by open quality.
  • It has the following objectives:to promote de economic development, social and cultural of their clients, with their own efforts and mutual assistance; fomentthe cooperative education and contribute to the community development. Their mission is: To be a financial intermediate institution based in principles, laws and cooperative values, with a high technology that offer to their teachers and thirds, improving their economic condition and quality of life.Their vision: to be a solid and auto sufficient financial intermediate institution with excellent services and competencies in benefit of their partners.
  • The COOPAC San Martín has one principal office located in the Tarapoto city and six branches, located in Tarapoto, Lamas, Bellavista, Saposoa, Juanjui y San José de Sisa.
  • Their credit products are: “Créditos a microempresas (MES)”, “Créditos de consumo”, “Créditos hipotecarios” y “Créditos comerciales”. Their savings products: deposits, “con orden de pago”, “CTS” and fixed.

Country: Peru

Project:Product Costing in the “Cooperativa San Martín de Porres ” in Peru (July 2005 – March 2006)

Product/Services supplied: Product costing for four credit products (Crece Más, Credicopo, Agrocoop y Depósitos a Plazo Fijo). The benefits of the consultant were: the product costing tool, the revision of the process, improvement of efficiency, client’s attention. There was designed a Product Costing Model, and elaborated a Final Report and a User Manual.

Team (work in-situ): One international consultant, two regional PPP experts and one institutional counterpart.
