MIKRA

  • Microcredit Foundation MIKRA was founded in May 2001, by Catholic Relief Services (CRS), following passing and adoption of the Law on Microcredit Organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • CRS has been implementing its activities through food aid programs for socially most vulnerable population groups, war-destroyed home reconstruction programs, psycho-social and trauma projects, youth club programs, and various other programs.
  • MIKRA was started as a Microcredit Foundation amongst numerous other CRS programs, and before it was registered as an official entity, it implemented its activities under the CRS Microfinance Department, which started this pilot project in early 1998.
