HATTHA KAKSEKAR LIMITED (HKL)

  • In 2001, Hattha Kaksekar (HK) NGO was registered with the Ministry of Commerce with a paid-up capital up to USD 77,850. By law, HK NGO was transformed into a Limited Company with a new name, Hattha Kaksekar Limited (HKL). After a thorough inspection, the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), granted a three-year license to HKL to operate microfinance services across Cambodia.
  • In 2008 HKL had a new capital injection from Oikocredit, Norfund and Triple Jump. This investment increased HKL's total capital from $1.3million to $2.7 million. Within the year, HKL introduced “Local Money Transfer” to its clients and public to adapt to the rising market needs.
