FONKOZE

  • Fonkoze, The alternative Bank for the poor of Haiti, started its activity in May 1996. It has grown from two volunteers to over 750 full-time employees and it is the biggest microfinances institutions from Haiti.
  • Fonzoke has 36 branches all along the country in the rural areas and over 165.000 clients, from which over 50.000 have a loan with the institution. In July 2004, Fonzoke started to transform itself from financial services into a commercial financial institution

Project: Product Costing and Technical Assistance to strengthen the efficiency of the lending process in FONKOZE, Haiti.

Period of the Project: July - October 2008. 

Product/Services supplied: Thanks to the Cost Tools and Risk Management, the institutionwill be able to transfer its profitable agencies in the Foundation towards the Financial one (SFF).It will be able to measure its daily performance through occupation and risk indicators, and create reports addressed to managers and financiers, in order to help them in their decisions about products and agencies and its contribution to profitability and costs.
