Edpyme Crear Tacna

  • The “EDPYME Crear Tacna (Small and Micro enterprise Development Entitie)”, is supervised since 1998, even when its beginnings are as 1992 like NGO Habitat Tacna XXI Century.
  • Its principal office are located in the Tacna city at south zone in Peru, with five branches: Agencia Tacna Central, Agencias del Cono Norte, Agencia del Cono Sur, Agencia de Ilo y Agencia de Moquegua.
  • The institution Works with a variety of products created accordingly the clients needs and convenience. The credit products are: “Crédito de Campaña”, “Crédito de Consumo”, “Crédito de Consumo con Convenio”, “Crédito Crearcito”, “Crédito Empresarial”, “Crédito Paralelo”, also the “Cartas Fianza” and currency exchange.
  • On June 2005, Crear Tacna was in the sixth place in the portfolio ranking among the 14 EdPymes, with a proportion like 5,71% of the total market and a portfolio equal to 23,865 S./ (US$. 7,276 aprox.) The ROE was 26%, and was in the third place in the rentability ranking over the capital. This indicates a favorable numbers for this owners..

Project: Product Costing in the “EDPYME Crear Tacna ” in Peru (July 2005 – March 2006)

Product/Services supplied: Product costing for four credit products (Crédito Empresarial, Crédito Crearcito, Crédito de consumo y Crédito de Consumo Con Convenio Institucional). The benefits of the consultant were: the product costing tool, the revision of the process, improvement of efficiency, client’s attention. There was designed a Product Costing Model, and elaborated a Final Report and a User Manual.

Supporter: Microfinance Iniciativa Project from COPEME – Peru, the USAID and the FORD Foundation.

Team (work in-situ): One international consultant, three regional PPP experts and two institutional counterparts.
